Tegan: When we started breaking drums, bass, guitars, and keyboards into stems, I was shocked at how little there was. I was like, “Really? There’s only two guitars and that one keyboard?” It’s so funny that it feels so rich. And I didn’t do a lot of double vocals, which has been sort of our sound, to always have 900 of our vocals smacking you on the face. There’s something really weird and vulnerable about doing that.
